The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.
In order to facilitate marriage preparation, couples seeking to be married in the Catholic Church are to make arrangements with the pastor one year in advance of their intended wedding date. At least one of the engaged must be a registered and practicing member of the parish for one year.
Please call the parish office to schedule a time for the engaged couple to meet with one of the clerics to prepare for the sacrament of marriage. The office administrator will explain all necessary paperwork needed to be submitted six months prior to the wedding date.
